The present invention provides a battery pack comprising: a power supply unit in which two or more battery cells or battery modules are electrically connected; a cut-off unit, which is located at at least one of a series connection parts of the battery cells or battery modules and cuts off an electrical connection in the battery pack by a short-circuit of a battery cell or a battery module, which is induced by a pressure activated switch described below; the pressure activated switch, which is connected in parallel to the battery cells or battery modules at which the cut-off unit is located and induces a short-circuit at the battery cells or battery modules by detecting volumetric expansion of the battery cells or battery modules when an abnormality of the power supply unit occurs; and terminals for external inputs and outputs, which are connected to an electrode terminal located at the outermost of the power supply unit to supply power to an external device.
