The invention relates to a method for drawing at least one material web into a processing device, wherein at least one material roll, onto which the at least one material web is at least partially wound, is rotatably supported about a rotational axis and wherein the at least one material web is connected to at least one drawing-in element of at least one drawing-in aid in a connection process and wherein the at least one material roll is rotated about the rotational axis in a direction opposite an unwinding direction after the connection process until a web tension of the at least one material web reaches a first specified value and wherein in at least one later drawing-in process the at least one drawing-in element is moved along at least one drawing-in path defined by at least one guide of the drawing-in aid and at the same time the at least one material roll is rotated in the unwinding direction.
