<p>The air conditioner according to the present invention comprises: an indoor unit having an indoor heat-exchanger in which a refrigerant undergoes heat exchange with indoor air and evaporates or condenses; an outdoor unit having a variable-capacity compression unit for taking in the refrigerant in a refrigerant intake flow-channel, compressing the refrigerant, and then discharging the refrigerant via a discharge flow-channel, a water-refrigerant heat exchanger in which the refrigerant undergoes heat exchange with heat source water, and condenses or evaporates, and an outdoor expansion apparatus which is provided between the indoor heat-exchanger and the water-refrigerant heat exchanger; a heat source water flow-channel which is connected to the water-refrigerant heat exchanger; a pump which is provided in the heat source water flow-channel; and a variable-flow valve which is provided in the heat source water flow-channel and can be adjusted so as to be open to varying degrees. During air conditioning, the degree to which the variable-flow valve is open is varied according to the pressure in the refrigerant discharge flow-channel, and during heating, the degree to which the valve is open is varied according to the pressure in the refrigerant intake flow-channel, thus the air conditioner can be operated with an optimized refrigerant cycle, and has the benefit of improving the reliability of the outdoor unit.</p> |
