The differential (1) i.e. spur gear differential (2), has a planet carrier (3) comprising two carrier parts (4, 5) that are connected with one another. The carrier parts comprise a circulating gradated collar that forms bearing retainers for axial and radial bearings. The carrier parts are designed as disk-shaped components and connected with a drive wheel (7) i.e. spur gear, in a firmly-bonded manner by connection elements (6) e.g. rivets or screws. The carrier parts comprise respective radial flanges (14, 15) and axial flanges (16, 17), where the collar comprises an L-shaped cross-section.
