The device has a control device (TCU) connected with a gear box actuator of a vehicle transmission by a first data line. The control device is connected with a dummy clutch actuator by a second data line. The dummy clutch actuator is controlled by the control device. A test stand computer is connected with clutch actuators (HCA1, HCA2) of a vehicle clutch by a third data line. The clutch actuators are controlled by the computer such that gear box start-up and clutch start-up are implemented independent of each other. The computer comprises a diagnose interface and a position interface. An independent claim is also included for a method for start-up of a vehicle transmission with a gear box actuator and/or a vehicle clutch with a clutch actuator.
