<p>This control device is applied to an internal combustion engine that is equipped with a supercharger and the aperture area of the transit area of which, that is, the aperture area of the region through which the exhaust gas introduced into the supercharger passes, can be varied. This control device changes the aperture area of the transit area and the fuel supply amount, that is, the amount of fuel supplied to the combustions chamber, with these changes being made on the basis of a first degree of change in the torque, which is the degree of change in the torque of the internal combustion engine caused by a change in the amount of introduced air, that is, the amount of air introduced into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine in conjunction with a change in the aperture area of the transit region, and on the basis of a second degree of change in the torque, which is the degree of change in the torque of the internal combustion engine caused by a change in the exhaust gas pressure in conjunction with a change in the aperture area of the transit region.</p> |
