PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for managing a measurement configuration of component carriers of a wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: A communications apparatus includes a wireless module and a controller module. The wireless module transmits and receives radio frequency signals to and from a service network via a set of component carriers, which is configured by the service network and includes at least a first component carrier. The controller module receives a measurement configuration corresponding to the first component carrier from the service network via the wireless module. The controller module keeps the measurement configuration corresponding to the first component carrier when the first component carrier is removed from the set of component carriers.
