<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner containing a resin having a polylactic acid structure as a binder resin capable of fixing at a lower temperature, which is free from forming clumps even when being stored for a long period of time under a high temperature condition. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner includes a binder resin which exhibits at least two points of Tg1 and Tg2 in glass transition temperature measured with a differential scanning calorimeter at a temperature-rising rate of 5°C/minute. Tg1 is within a range of -20°C to 20°C and Tg2 is within a range of 35°C to 65°C; and a ratio of h1/h2 in a difference between base lines h1 and h2 accompanying each glass transition is 1.0 or less. In a binary image of a phase image of the binder resin observed with a tapping mode AFM, which is binary-processed with respect to an intermediate value between a maximum value and a minimum value of a phase difference in the phase image, the binary image includes a first phase difference image having a portion of a large phase difference and a second phase difference image having a portion of a small phase difference; and the binary image has a structure that the first phase difference image is dispersed in the second phase difference image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
