<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus which can be used in a standby state corresponding to a use situation, and a power control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus comprises: power storage means; standby mode selection means; and standby control means. The power storage means stores power supplied by an external power source. The standby mode selection means selects either a first standby mode in which power is supplied by the external power source or a second standby mode in which the power stored by the power storage means is supplied.
