<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a lead sulfate coat formed on an electrode plate of a lead-acid battery in accordance with a plurality of different nominal voltages of the lead-acid battery and a residual capacity of stored electricity, and to suppress overcharge and overdischarge of the lead-acid battery and reduce pulse noise output. <P>SOLUTION: A lead sulfate coat removing device 10 reads a voltage value of a lead-acid battery from an AD converter 106 serving as voltage detecting means. An arithmetic control processor 105 determines the nominal voltage of the lead-acid battery connected to the lead sulfate coat removing device 10 from the voltage value of the lead-acid battery, and determines the residual capacity of stored electricity from the voltage value and the nominal voltage value of the lead-acid battery. The arithmetic control processor 105 increases the number of pulses that are output within a prescribed time for performing pulse-charge and pulse-discharge of the lead-acid battery from the residual capacity of stored electricity if the capacity is high, increases a speed for removing the lead sulfate coating, and dissolves an overcharged state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
