<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treated silica-based particle showing high hydrophobicity and remarkably improved in dispersibility to a transparent resin while having a nanometer-order fine particle diameter. <P>SOLUTION: This silica-based particle having an average particle diameter within a range of 1-50 nm measured by an electron microscope is characterized in that an individual particle is subjected to a surface treatment by a hydrophobic silane coupling agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
