<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing liquid cartridge capable of preventing the sagging of a printing liquid when the printing liquid cartridge is removed from a cartridge installation portion by a structure difficult to be broken. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 30 includes a body 31 for storing ink, and a release lever 80 having a locking surface 46 engaged with an engagement member 145 orthogonally to a support surface 47 of the body 31 and rotating around a shaft 83 having a lateral direction 51 as an axial direction to release the engagement of the locking surface 46 with the engagement member 145, and a tip 81 and a rear end 82 extended along a longitudinal direction 53. The tip 81 is rotated between a first position where it is separated from the support surface 47 and a second position where it abuts on the support surface 47.
