PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage material suitable for a storage device.

SOLUTION: A storage material contains a polymer having a repeating unit. The repeating unit includes a Calco full genome tetra skeleton Valentin and a linker portion expressed by L1-O-L2. The Calco full genome tetra skeleton Valentin and the linker portion form a main chain of the polymer. The L1 group and the L2 group are independent of each other and are an aromatic group or saturated aliphatic group. At least one selected from the L1 group and the L2 group is a saturated aliphatic group.
