<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving or stabilizing physical properties, such as liquid permeability, of a water-absorbing resin by simple method, without changing raw materials and without the need for expensive capital investment. <P>SOLUTION: A method of continuously producing a polyacrylic acid-based and/or polyacrylate-based water-absorbing resin sequentially includes: a polymerizing step of polymerizing an acrylic-acid or acrylate solution to obtain an aqueous gelatinous crosslinked polymer; a drying step of drying the aqueous gelatinous crosslinked polymer to obtain a water-absorbing resin dried product; a classifying step of classifying the water-absorbing resin dried product to obtain water-absorbing resin particles; and a surface-crosslinking step of surface-crosslinking the water-absorbing resin particles before and/or after the classifying step. In one or more steps after the drying step, surfaces of apparatuses, each used in the corresponding step and coming into contact with the water-absorbing resin, are cleaned with water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
