<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-based sintered sliding member which decreases production cost by decreasing the amount of Cu used and in which a sulfide having high adhesiveness to a base is dispersed, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The iron-based sintered sliding member has overall composition comprising, in mass ratio, 0.1-10% of Cu, 0.2-2.0% of C, 0.03-0.9% of Mn, and 0.52-6.54% of S, with the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities, wherein when the mass% of S and the mass% of Mn in the overall composition is [S%] and [Mn%] respectively, the following number 1, [S%]=0.6×[Mn%]+0.5 to 6.0, is satisfied. Also, the iron-based sintered sliding member exhibits metal structure in which gas pockets and sulfide particles are dispersed in a base which has 50% or more in a cross-sectional area ratio of martensite structure, wherein the sulfide particles are dispersed in the ratio of 3-30 vol% based on the base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
