<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide rail which is used in electronic devices, optical devices, business devices, furniture, or the like, and is highly durable, and in which travel surfaces for balls inserted between an outer member and an inner member of the slide rail are formed from phosphor bronze, iron, or stainless steel. <P>SOLUTION: The slide rail includes: the outer member having such a shape that in a pair of the side arms of the outer member, parallel outer ball travel surfaces are formed on both long-direction sides, and the side arms curve inwards; an inner member having such a shape that at both ends of the inner member, inner ball travel surfaces are formed on both long-direction sides so as to form a set with the outer ball travel surfaces, and both of the ends rise in an outward curve; a plurality of balls; and a ball retainer.
