<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nano-scale hetero structure, at a low cost, of high functionality that uses crystalline metal oxide by using a stable hetero structure configuration, and a method for producing the same, capable of deriving a high characteristic intrinsic to substance itself, having high crystallinity, enabling crystal orientation in desired direction, with no reactive layer generated at an interface that obstacles characteristic, and avoiding distortion, dislocation, defect, or damage by minute processing, without restriction by chemical reactivity, crystallinity and thinness such as carbon solid thin at atomic level, of the base material. <P>SOLUTION: A metal oxide and covalent bonding substance are made to approach each other at atomic level under such a condition as crystal lattice is already set, to form a heterojunction. Especially, a surface of the metal oxide having been cleaned by active oxygen irradiation and a cleaned surface of the covalent bonding substance are made to approach each other. Thus, a heterojunction by a covalent bonding only of atoms at a part of an interface, especially a covalent bonding between oxygen and an element in the covalent bonding substance, can be attained, thereby achieving the above described issue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
