PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element which can stably exhibit high photoelectric conversion efficiency.

SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element comprises: a hole transport layer containing a conductive polymer obtained by polymerizing a heterocyclic compound with a structure represented by the general formula (1); and sensitizing dyes consisting of a phenylamine compound with a specific structure represented by the general formula (2).
