<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batch furnace and a method of simulating a continuous drying furnace by using the batch furnace, capable of accurately simulating a drying process in the continuous drying furnace composed of a plurality of zones of different conditions. <P>SOLUTION: This batch furnace includes an infrared ray heating device 8 and a hot air drying device 9, and dries a planar workpiece formed with a coating film. The hot air drying device 9 includes a plurality of heating means 24-26 of different temperature conditions, and the drying condition in the continuous drying furnace is simulated, by using the batch furnace, by instantaneously switching the output of the infrared ray heating device 8 and the used heating means every lapse of time necessary for the workpiece to pass through each zone of the continuous drying furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
