PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magenta toner for electrostatic charge image development and a production method of the toner that gives a magenta image with high saturation by an electrophotographic process, and to provide an electrostatic charge image developer and an image forming method using the magenta toner for electrostatic charge image development.

SOLUTION: With the magenta toner for electrostatic charge image development by an electrophotographic process, a magenta image is formed having a color gamut with the maximum chroma of 75 or more at a hue angle of -11±0.5° in the CIE L*a*b*color space.
