The method involves supplying heat carrier medium i.e. water, in the form of steam at an input side of a high-pressure steam turbine (48), and supplying the steam from an output side of the turbine to a reheater (54). The steam is heated and supplied to an input side of a low-pressure steam turbine (50) by the reheater, where the reheater is heated with live steam of an evaporator (12). The steam is supplied at a sliding pressure level by the evaporator in a mode of operation based on a partial load degree, and in a fixed pressure level in another mode of operation. The evaporator is switchable between the modes based on the partial load degree. An independent claim is also included for a solar-thermal power plant.
