The stabilizing device (10) has an adjustable stabilizing element (30), which has a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (L) of the stabilizing element. The cross section has different bending stiffness in two directions. The stabilizing element is rotatably mounted on a spring tension rod (20) about the longitudinal axis on its one end (30a) and is rotatably stored on a bearing device (120) of the vehicle about the longitudinal axis on its other end (30b). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a vehicle with wheels; and (2) a method for changing the spring rate of a stabilizing device of a vehicle.
