<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow shape control of a material to be rolled even if a shapemeter for measuring shapes of the material to be rolled is provided only on one side in a rolling mill that performs reverse rolling. <P>SOLUTION: A rolling control method includes steps of: calculating predictive values of shapes in a plurality of positions in a plate width direction of the material A to be rolled, based on an entry side plate thickness that is a plate thickness of the material A to be rolled before being rolled, an exit side plate thickness that is a plate thickness of the material A to be rolled after being rolled, an average value of entry side plate thicknesses and an average value of exit side plate thicknesses; comparing the shapes of the material A to be rolled measured by the shapemeter with target values to calculate shape deviations of the material A to be rolled during rolling in a positive rotation; comparing the predictive values of the shapes with the target values to calculate shape deviations during rolling in a negative rotation; and based on the calculated shape deviations, determining a control amount for controlling a roll to correct a difference between the shapes of the material A to be rolled and the target values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
