<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform transfer or dealing by reducing the size of a data file corresponding to a three-dimensional shape. <P>SOLUTION: Measurement points discretely exist on an intersection between a face (scanning face) configured of the scanning of a laser beam 200 and an object 300 having a three-dimensional shape. In the three-dimensional shape data processing method, the spatial position of average position G<SB POS="POST">n</SB>of each measurement point on each scanning face, the direction of coordinate axes U<SB POS="POST">n</SB>, V<SB POS="POST">n</SB>on the scanning face, and two-dimensional coordinates (u<SB POS="POST">n,i</SB>, v<SB POS="POST">n,i</SB>) on the scanning face about each measurement point P<SB POS="POST">n,i</SB>(1≤i≤k) are recorded instead of the point group data of three-dimensional spatial coordinates as data.
