<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam target wheel for an automobile preventing a manufacturing cost rise without increasing the number of lobes and recognizing cam oscillation to improve operation reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This cam target wheel 1 for an automobile includes: a cam shaft 10; and the lobes 20 which are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the camshaft 10 and are capable of recognizing trough parts and crest parts of cam oscillation waveforms.
