A light-emitting device (10) includes a cathode (34), an anode (32), a light-emitting layer (50) interposed between the cathode (34) and the anode (32), and an electron injection layer (44) provided between the cathode (34) and the light-emitting layer (50) and connected to the cathode (34), in which at least one of the anode (32) and the cathode (34) contains a conductive material having an aspect ratio of 1.5 or more, and the electron injection layer (44) contains an organic compound having at least one of an ionic group and a polar group.
