The apparatus (1) has container (2) which is divided into several compartments (7,8) for respectively receiving the swabs (20-1-20-3) and disinfectant using compartment separation element (6). The fluid-tight barrier is formed between the compartments, when compartment separation element is in close position. A fluid channel is formed between compartments, when compartment separation element is in open position. An actuator (11) is provided within sterile interior region for adjusting open and close positions of fluid channel. A compression element (10) is provided with a handle (16).
