The body portable protective pad has an expansion body with an elastic membrane, which limits the cavities (10,20,10',20'). The cavities are provided for accident initiated filling under elastic expansion of the membrane. The cavities are filled pre-partially and the expansion body has a pre-filled cavity. The membrane is fastened at a carrier (2), and the cavities are limited together with the carrier.
