<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that rapid deterioration of a specific unit cell in a battery module may shorten the life of the battery module. <P>SOLUTION: In a battery module, multiple unit cells are housed in a holder made of a heat conductive material and a cooling path flowing a cooling medium cooling the unit cells is provided. A thermal resistance layer is provided between a housing part and the unit cells, and the thermal resistance layer is disposed so that the thermal resistance value gradually becomes smaller toward the flow direction of the cooling medium.
