<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture images of subjects in a plurality of directions. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device includes a silicon substrate having a photoelectric conversion element therein, and a wiring layer on a front-surface side of the silicon substrate. The photoelectric conversion element performs photoelectric conversion of light which is incident from the front-surface side through the wiring layer, and performs photoelectric conversion of light which is incident from a back-surface side of the silicon substrate without going through the wiring layer.
