<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet device in which power consumption is reduced essentially. <P>SOLUTION: In a faucet device, a reflection wave of a microwave transmitted to a predetermined detection area is received, a Doppler signal is generated based on the microwave transmitted to the predetermined detection area and the received reflection wave, and the presence of a human body in the predetermined detection area is detected based on the Doppler signal. The reflection wave is received and the Doppler signal is generated based on the reflection wave in each predetermined sampling cycle.
