<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of memory required in an iterative decoding apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An iterative decoding method for iteratively carrying out a decoding process for each subblock for an encoded signal transmitted through segmentation into a plurality of (N<SB POS="POST">cb</SB>) subblocks for each predetermined block includes: storing a number of (n<SB POS="POST">cb</SB>) subblocks, the number being smaller than the number (N<SB POS="POST">cb</SB>) of the subblocks; and successively and iteratively carrying out a decoding process of the stored (n<SB POS="POST">cb</SB>) subblocks within a specified time period determined on the basis of the number (n<SB POS="POST">cb</SB>). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
