<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of authentication accuracy caused by automatic update registration and obtain stable authentication accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: When a user M of face image data detected by a face image detection unit 12 is face-authenticated and determined to be already registered, and also when there is no free space in a storage area for the face-authenticated user M in a face authentication database 5, a face authentication database management device deletes the oldest face image data of which authentication utilization degree that is stored in association with the corresponding face image data in the storage area and indicates a utilization degree of the face image data used for determination of past face authentication, from the face authentication database 5, and updates the face authentication database 5 by registering the detected face image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
