PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder having high recording reliability.

SOLUTION: An information recorder 1 relating to the invention acquires an operating state of a semiconductor laser 25 by a drive information acquisition part 4, and sequentially records the operating state in a drive information storage part 5. A drive information analysis part 8 analyzes drive information, and predicts residual life of the semiconductor laser 25, and a magnetic head control part 3 controls a magnetic head 2 on the basis of the residual life or the like.
