摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating the surface of a substrate constituted of a titanium alloy and titanium, capable of improving mechanical strength and fatigue strength by hardening the vicinity of the surface of the substrate constituted of the titanium alloy and titanium. <P>SOLUTION: The method of treating the surface of the substrate comprises a step A of applying a shot peening treatment to the surface of the substrate constituted of the titanium alloy and titanium, a step B of subjecting the substrate to a first heat treatment in a temperature range T1, a step C of subjecting the substrate to a second heat treatment in a temperature range T2, and a step D of subjecting the substrate to a third heat treatment in a temperature range T3, in this order.
