<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emitting apparatus employing an LED light source in which illuminance nonuniformity on an emission surface can be suppressed compatibly with thinning of an apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: An LED light source and a diffusion member are disposed such that a relation between a distance L from an optical axis of the LED light source to a diffusion plane of the diffusion member and a height (h) of emission light in a vertical direction from the optical axis of the LED light source satisfies h≥L>h/2. Therefore, uniform irradiation light can be obtained on a surface of a semi-transparent display panel by the emission light from the LED light source being uniformly diffused and reflected on an uneven surface of the diffusion member, and a surface emitting apparatus in which the thickness of a main body is reduced can be accomplished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
