PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an event that occurs in equipment through a network.

SOLUTION: An information processing system has: equipment having storage means for storing an event category to be a notification object to an information processor connected through the network among event categories that occur in the equipment, and transmission means for transmitting information on an event to the information processor in the case that the event occurring in the equipment is an event relating to the category stored in the storage means; and the information processor having distribution destination storage means for storing identification information of a distribution destination of the event of the equipment, and distribution means for transmitting information to a distribution destination relating to the identification information stored in the distribution destination storage means in accordance with the reception of the information on the event of the equipment.
