<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording with high recording accuracy on a recording medium to be conveyed all around the periphery of an outside belt. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes the outside belt 18, an inside belt 15, a maintenance unit 3, a conveying motor 19, a gear 27 and the like. The outside belt 18 on which recording paper 100 is placed travels in a conveying direction in parallel with an ink jetting surface 10a. The inside belt 15 is arranged in a first internal space 12 regulated by the outside belt 18, and travels in the conveying direction. The maintenance unit 3 is arranged in a second internal space 28 regulated by the inside belt 15. The conveying motor 19 and the gear 27 are provided to drive the outside belt 18 and the inside belt 15 to travel.
