<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus enabling rapid input operation; and to provide an image processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: an ultrasonic probe 10 for performing transmission and reception of ultrasound to and from a subject P; an image pickup section 20 for generating image data based on the reception signals acquired by scanning the subject P using the ultrasound by driving the ultrasonic probe 10; a display section 31 for displaying the image data generated in the image pickup section 20; and a touch panel 50 on which a plurality of switches enabling touch input for allowing the display section 31 to display the information about the image data generated in the image pickup section 20 and a plurality of indexes for searching the switches are arranged and displayed at predetermined positions.
