PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF MICROBIAL BETA-CAROTENE

A process for production of microbial beta-carotene, comprising carotene extraction from fungus biomass with organic solvent and biomass filtering, furthermore, before extraction the isolated biomass is treated with liquid nitrogen during 5-10 seconds, mixture of acetone and carbon tetrachloride is used as organic solvent in the ratio of 2-10:1, respectively.
