The present invention proposes devices, methods and computer program products for efficient data dissemination towards a mobile sink in a wireless sensor network. A sensor node as a source constitutes a device, comprising a transceiver module configured to receive a data polling signal, a sensor module configured to sense data, to be transmitted responsive to the polling signal, and configured to measure a reception quality of the polling signal, and a control module, wherein the control module is configured to initialize a data propagation parameter for the transmission of the sensed data upon polling, and to compose a message comprising the sensed data, the data propagation parameter, and the measured reception quality of the polling signal. A sensor node as a router constitutes a device, comprising a transceiver module configured to receive a data polling signal and a message from another device, a sensor module configured to measure a reception quality of the polling signal, a control module, wherein the control module is configured to extract, from the message, a data propagation parameter and a reception quality of the polling signal received at the another device, evaluate the extracted reception quality at the another device, the measured reception quality and the extracted propagation parameter, and based on an evaluation result, to discard the received massage or to continue flooding with an updated message.
