The stack (1) has identical dumbbell weights (10, 11) arranged next to each other such that the front dumbbell weight is unrotatably held, removable from the stack by displacement and/or insertable into the stack. The front dumbbell weight is locked with a latch (33) against removal in a locking position of the latch and released for removal with a dumbbell handle (18) in an unlocking position of the latch. A cam follower (26) is coupled with the latch such that the latch is brought into its locking and unlocking positions during operation of the cam follower by a cam of the handle. An independent claim is also included for a dumbbell handle.
