[Also in Division A4] A domestic mixer 10 is provided with a mechanism for ejecting the beaters 17 so that a reamer-type juice bowl (see Division A4) may be fitted with the reamer shaft extending through an opening 75 in the motor housing cover 51 to be drivably connected with the motor 32. The mixer comprises a turntable 15, a motor housing 14 pivotally mounted as at 50 on a pedestal 12, a pair of beaters 17 whose shafts 17a, 18a are drivably connected at their ends 19 to rotary sleeves 41, 42 driven through worms 37, 39, 40, a motor speed control 57, and a depressable button 60 mounted in the cover handle 51b and serving to eject the beaters 17 when desired. The button 60 engages by its necked portion 60a an L- shaped link 61 having a vertical limb bearing on the base of an ejector cup 31 so that on depression of the button 60 and hence the link 61 the latter pivots the cup 31 about one edge against the action of a spring 68 eject the shafts 17a, 18a by engaging conical projections 20 on the latter, the shaft 17a being ejected first by virtue of projections 31f on the cup 31. The shafts 17a, 18a are normally retained by spring retainers 22.
