PURPOSE: An engine of a vehicle is provided to operate a crank by a piston rod which is integrated with a piston head without a separate connecting rod. CONSTITUTION: An engine of a vehicle comprises a shaft hole(12), an intake and exhaust hole(14), a rotation shaft(30), an intake passage(32), and an exhaust passage(33). The shaft hole is formed in the head part of a cylinder(10) to be perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the cylinder. The intake and exhaust hole is formed in between the chamber(11) of the cylinder and the shaft hole. The rotation shaft is inserted into the shaft hole, is internally equipped with a diaphragm(31), and is connected with a crank shaft(43) by a timing belt. The intake and exhaust passages are formed in the left and right sides of the diaphragm and are separately equipped with an intake hole(32a) and an exhaust hole(33a). The intake and exhaust holes of the cylinder and the intake hole are matched for inhaling air through the intake passage in an intake stroke. The intake and exhaust holes of the cylinder and the exhaust hole are matched for exhausting air through the exhaust passage in an exhaust stroke. |
