PURPOSE: A fiber material and an interior material thereof are provided to improve handling stiffness more effectively by increasing the weight of the peripheral area of a recess part more than the weight of the outer peripheral area of the recess part. CONSTITUTION: A fiber material has multiple areas which are different in weight from each other. The fiber material(1) has a first area(3) heaviest in weight and a second area(5) lighter in weight than the first area. The fiber material has a recess part, wherein the weight of the peripheral area of the recess part is heavier than the weight of the outer peripheral area. The fiber material is equipped with a surface layer on one side.
