In a liquid heating system for buildings having a number of heating zones A, B, C fed from a main circulating loop 14, 16 connected to a boiler 11, each zone heating loop 19, 21 with radiators 22 has a constantly operating pump 33 and a connection 34 by-passing the supply and return connections of the zone heating loops, there being an intermittently operating pump 36 in each supply connection and a flow regulating means 29 in each return connection. The pumps 36 are controlled by room thermostats 27 to supply hot water to the zone heating loops when required. If the main loop 14, 16 is very long an auxiliary pump 37 may be fitted. |
