<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock transmission method for flexibly constructing a multi-ring network. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A ring type network system includes first and second ring networks connected to each other through a common node device. In the clock transmission method of the ring type network system, both of first and second clocks are transmitted to the common node device. Then, inside the common node device, two internal clocks are generated respectively on the basis of the first and second clocks. Also, when the common node device is operated by the two internal clocks, the phase difference of data inside the common node device is absorbed by stuffing. Then, by operating the common node device by the two internal clocks, both of the first and second clocks are sent out from the common node device to the second ring network.
