<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for a secondary battery with high capacity and long service life. <P>SOLUTION: In the negative electrode material for the secondary battery which can store and release lithium ions, a negative electrode contains material components in which stored amount of lithium becomes greater than theoretical weight for carbon which does not store lithium more as the components come closer to the current collector. By using less ductile and less malleable materials that do not store lithium, peeling-off from the current collector or pulverization of the negative electrode active material is suppressed, and cycle characteristics can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
