[Class 52 (i)] In a drop handle the horizontal member 7 and the integral parallel arms 7a, by which the handle is pivoted on a base plate, are of channel section, the open side of the channel being on the rear face of the handle and the portion of the channel between the arms being covered by a plate 9. The plate is flanged to seat upon the flange 7b and is secured to the horizontal member by pins 7f projecting from a seating 7e. In modifications the arms 7a may be solid, and the inner face of the bar 7, ribbed, to impart rigidity. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 644,235. |
