<p>Fitness equipment comprises an exercise machine 1 and a wireless sensor pack 3 for interacting with a portable electronic device 2 of a user. The exercise machine 1 has a movable member 11 constructed for movement by the user when exercising on the exercise machine 1. The wireless sensor pack 3 is mounted on the movable member of the exercise machine 1 and includes a sensor module for detection of motion of the movable member 11, and a wireless module associated with the sensor module. Upon receiving motion information from the sensor module, the wireless module transmits the information to the portable electronic device 2 to provide to the user with a display of the motion information. The exercise machine is preferably a treadmill or exercise bike and the sensor pack preferably includes a battery pack and a rolling ball, magnetic, mercury or optical sensor.</p> |
